Gold, a mythical metal

The gold we use is recycled gold. Recycled gold is more environmentally smart than mining, as it reduces emissions and pollution of air and water more than extracting from mining. This is something that is close to our hearts. Therefore, we minimize the number of chemicals as much as possible in our workshop and are constantly looking for new healthier and more environmentally friendly alternatives.

Gold is the most malleable of all metals. A single gram can be knocked out into a square meter-sized leaf. Something we have not tried ourselves.
We work almost exclusively in 18K gold. Usually red or white gold, but also some in yellow and rosé. 18k gold consists of 75% pure gold and 25% other metal. It is the 25% that decides what color it should be. In "ordinary red gold" it is copper and silver that are alloyed with and in white gold palladium is also mixed. One should keep in mind that jewellery in white gold has a surface treatment of rhodium that wears away over time, therefore it needs to be redone from time to time.
